At the end of the day helmets are only bits of polystyrene with a plastic coating so there's no reason for them to cost so much.
You'll be giving Mr Arai heart failure with a remark like that! Their brochure is full of descriptions of the special materials they use, and how each shell is hand crafted and individually signed by a craftsman!

I originally posted about Suzuki scooter website updates, then the posts went to Tyres and now Helmets. I wonder what's next?

Suzuki tyres made from old helmets? :)

Back on track, I do hope Suzuki pull their finger out and do a proper update for the Burgman 650. The Piaggio X10 looks nice but the 350 doesn't have enough extra for me to want to buy it (The Xevo 400 is great and faster by the looks of it) and the 500 has the old slightly dodgy 500 master engine. A Burgman 650 70hp with lighter weight, long service intervals and greater fuel economy would be great (maybe have an economy mode on the ecvt modes?)

It's looking like my next bike may well end up being the 700x or Uglytegra....

Scooter Station reported that Suzuki management had voiced plans to introduce new 400 and 650 models during 2013. How reliable that is and wheter things have changed....I don't know.

IU'd be very interested in an overhauled and updated 400 as long as it keeps the storage capacity and isn't tricked out in un-necesarry expensive gadgetry

I'm sure that Sc Stn assured us that the fabled 900cc Burger was coming 'next year' around 5 years ago!! There again, the mythical BMW maxi-scoots did eventually turn up - well, nearly at least!
