And the Burger has a bit better reliability, not that the X9 was very bad, but it did suffer some very annoying niggles and hicups that were never really sorted out. Instrument consoles that let the water in, switches that failed, chokes that didn't work properly, corrosion and a few other things that stopped the motor working. I nearly bought one years ago when they first came out until the demo model I was suppose to ride failed to get off the forecourt. I never looked at scooters again for years until I went out on a Burgman for the day quite by chance for work. If it's a later one it's probably much better than the earlier ones. Don't ignore it, go check it out!

Thanks for the tip off, Pikey. It'll be on its way to Stockport in the next few days. The advert didn't trip my saved search as the title didn't include "400" so this one would have slipped the net had I not had a quick look on here on Friday evening.

Feels a bit of a betrayal of my old Majesty 250 which, after all, still has fewer miles on it than the much newer Burgman (just over 4k now) and has not let me down once, but I couldn't resist.
