Stay with us
I was "gifted" a Pug Vivacity a while ago - maybe you could get a cheap scoot for trips to the shops etc. Save wear on the Trophy. Plus your past experiences will always be valuable.
Good luck though - enjoy the land of the clutch...

Just ordered a black AN650. I hope it's as good, or better, than I remember it.Data wrote:Welcome back and I am watching this space!wuffstuff wrote:I've had the trophy for a year now and I think I preferred the burg. I'm coming back.
Watch this space.
The Trophy is a great bike, suitable for long trips such as mine - I live in Devon and work in London, but only one or two days a week. The reason for letting the Trophy go is it is just too high, too big, too heavy and too powerful for an old codger to be trolling around on.
I need an automatic box, plenty of storage, heated parts and cheap to run. The Trophy does most things but it is a monster machine and it doesn't do as many to the gallon as the Burg.
Here's the real deal though; the Burg is actually more fun, more controllable, easier to manoeuvre, easier to park and I can get my feet fully on the ground.
I loved the Trophy but it's for younger, stronger guys.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then they beat you with their experience.

Well done on your purchase of a new Burger. I believe they've been updated since the last one you owned..

It seems so, but not big changes. I might be able to push it backwards a bit easier, but it won't go any quicker or do any more mpg's.wozza wrote:I believe they've been updated since the last one you owned..
Should be a lark though.

Re: It's time to say goodbye.
It's so good to know you are back! Funnily enough, your new 650 is quite a bit more economical over your earlier model so I'm told by someone I know that has one. But it may be a bit different for everyone of course. It is generally a more fettled bike with few, if any niggles now. Anyhoo...please do one of your excellent write up's if you have time after you have become more acquainted with your new steed. Speak soon.
Bye for now...

I may bore everyone stupid with my constant blathering, but do I care. I'll regale all with tales of the differences inthe old model and the new as noted by an incompetent commentator.

Great, that's the sort of thing we want. And, you are far from being an 'incompetent commentator'! You can hardly ramble on more than me
