You may not care, which is fine, but market take up of the BMW/Kymco effort is something which interests me.

in that case I can help. They are doing great, better than expected.
Take up has been so good worldwide that BMW are confident about staying in the scooter market, including the UK.
There will be new versions next year. A couple of changes including new body colours and dials and a different finish on the castings.
Plus a totally new scooter will be added next year, the C-Evo.

talking of electric scoots this one on ebay, second time advertised as sold for £1000 first time round but a no show, would be ideal if the batteries were better, but build quality has got better http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321185464911? ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

From what I hear it is going to be lease only ( at least to start with) but marketing is way outside my territory

Re: BMW 600 Sport Test Ride.
Have just returned from a 2,000 mile trip to France, Germany and Switzerland. Here's a little video of me chasing a Triumph Daytona 955 in the Black Forest, with both of us being taken by the Honda Fireblade in my mirrors... both were friends by the way....
[BBvideo 560,340][/BBvideo]
Also impressed by the economy. Far better than the TMAX at speed, getting nearly 63mpg, but worse in town, where I hardly ever use it anyway.

What's the screen extension thingy you are using? Wondering if I could put one on the TMax.

Am I the only one who thinks that £10K is too much for a scooter irrespective of who makes it or what size engine it has.

No you're very definitely not alone.
Very few people believe that 10k is the right price for a scooter.
Certainly not one that when brand spanking new has porous crankcases, brake fluid reservoir caps that vibrate off, leaky forks, badly routed brake lines, fairing panels that blow off, racks that shear off and is prone to stalling.
