X10 running cost

I've had my X10 since 1st Nov and the 1st service was only £60, i'm getting well in excess of 70mpg and with 1700 miles on the clock I have had zero issues. But I think that I need to look at previous posts because I wasn't aware of any issues with the brakes. What's the story there?
