Just a thought, wish I could be there to take you.

There is a breakfast time meet at Wrangaton, just of the A38 at the back of Ivybridge already arranged, but nothing to stop us going Callington way to Launceston, and then follow your suggested route down to Lands End :D I've ridden that way a few times myself and it does have some amazing views!
Hope you have a good jolly to Spain Raven, hopefully we can arrange something when your back and this is all done

Bit of a route/destination change for the return journey on the 19th  I want to visit Sparkford Motor Museum on the 20th, so I'm booked into a Boozer in Amesbury :? Now I know there are more direct routes than the one I propose to do  but there is method to my madness? I come from a humungous family who are spread far and wide, and whilst I am not going to visit all of them ( or non of them :o ), they will be following my live tracker and if I pass through or close to their particular habitat, I can claim a drive by wave and remain on their Xmas card list for another few years  So my route on the 19th is as follows:

Leave Sutton-in-Ashfield 10ish  and take the A38 Through Allestree, Mickleover and down towards Burton, Litchfield then pick up the A446 just after Bassets Pole down to the A452 Stonebridge, before picking up the A4177 and head towards Warwick by-pass and the A46,then it's down to the A429 Fosse Way all the way down through Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and down to the A417 at Cirencester Travelodge and follow this till it turns into A419 through Swindon and onto the A346 through Marlborough and down Salisbury Hill to the A338, through Tidworth and finally down onto the A303 for an overnight stop in Amesbury.
If anyone is crazy enough to want to Tag along/ride part of, or just give wave and a chuckle anywhere along this ridiculous meander, then please feel free to pm me, or like me seek medical advice for severe mental illness

Have done scenic route before from St Ives last time was down on Helix ,depends on the day really .Just bear in mind 3 of us starting that morning from Bridgwater and need to get back to Saltash for evening so scenic routes will depend on weather and energy levels .See how we feel after Lands end could always do scenic on way back to Saltash

We could always cut out Newquay, and drop down to the A30 from Perranporth through Goonhavern, then it's a short ride to pick up the A38 the other side of Bodmin and onto Saltash. It's probably a better option than getting caught up in traffic at Newquay to Launceston, which can be a bit of a drag.

Hi Jules I will definitely try and meet up with you at the Truck Haven Carnforth for a cuppa. Unfortunately I won't be on my bike as last week some young lady decided to reverse into it and so my NC is currently awaiting repair.
