Retro look exactly my point 50 yrs of of of crap

I have a GTS300ie Touring and it is a lovely bit of kit. It has a chrome rack on the front and back which makes up for the small underseat storage and a fly screen which does little for wind hitting the body but does keep the wind off the hands.
The chassis although basic works extremely well considering the small wheels. It feels safe and comfortable even for me at 6'3" at all speeds from a crawl to 70 mph. The performance and economy is excellent and the retro look is a bonus for me.

Are you serious or have you lost the plot ?

You seem to have a derogatory view of the GTS, I know what it is like because I actually own one as do others on this forum. It begs me to ask have you actually ridden a 300 GTS?
The Vespa of the 60's was a great machine in it's day but the current models are a world apart in a good way.

I have owned three large cc fuel injected Vespas. I have also owned a Honda Sh300 and various large maxi-scoots including a BMW C600 and a Mk3 TMAX. For me the Vespa remains the ultimate suburban scooter. It beats most of the maxis up to about twenty mph. I no longer commute by PTW in the city so no longer own one, but it would be my first choice for commuting.

It is flickable, handles extremely well, is perfectly suspended, has a buttery smooth engine and is completely unlike its unbalanced and difficult predecessors. They are also narrow and suitable for getting around older European cities with their diminutive streets. Maintenance costs are fairly low and they are easier to maintain yourself than Hondas, for example.

If you hadn't been around as long as you have, then I'd be accusing you of trolling, as you are coming across as incredibly ill-informed and opinionated.

Funny, that's exactly how I'd describe a Yamaha Majesty. I expected to be impressed when I test rode it, owning a TMAX at the time, but was completely underwhelmed. It was heavier than the TMAX, handled appallingly and felt like it was suspended by bricks. All this was due to the unsprung mass of the engine pivoting up and down...

Im taking mine to Vespa world days in Italy and joining in with mass ride with Vespas from all over Europe cant think of anything better riding a Vespa around an historic Italian city in the sunshine with the wife on the back .Bellissimo

We have to many sheep in this country.

It does. It's called a monocoque and it's the way most current cars are built.

Wasnt trying to compare to the yamaha or for that fact any any other maxi scoot, all the major brands.
The one you are trying to defend is a disposable toy!!!!
By the way the majesty and tmax are within 1 or so kgs of one another
