Bought the nearly new Daelim S3 Advamce 250 from Doncaster with only 70 mile recorded. An even better deal was negotiated, no a fantastic deal as he took it in px against a car and just wanted to move it on. Picking It up on Saturday and driving back to Newcastle.

Bargain! That Scoot has to be the best value '250' on the market. It appears to me that Daelim are like SYM were 5 years ago - well made and remarkable value for money. I look forward to your review Mister Bornagain.

Judging by the many Youtube videos it looks very comfy with plenty legroom and a very good fairing and screen.

Well done - I'd also be interested in hearing about how it goes, as I did consider one (and now have a decent dealer within reach) - and also exactly which if any FF helmets fit under the seat!

Got back like a drowned rat after 120 mile of constant heavy rain. The scoot performed faultlessly. Kept it at approx 5000-6000 rpm and 60 mph max. The styling is good. The plastic panel fittings are first class as are the components. The is definetly a brand that means business. My extra large new ff LS2 convert will not fit but I was expecting that as up to now only my B650 can accomodate it. Just tried my M ff and sadly the seat will not close but my summer open face is not an issue. I'll see how I can attach my ff helmets to somewhere under the seat and hang outside, I do this with my Piaggio Fly. The seat is low and comfortable highlighted with red stiching. Internal under seat light operated by a simple push switch. Seat raises very high with a good stay support. The fuel filling was not an issue being located on the left side of the internal fairing. All the switches are standard layout with a hazard and good quality. The keyless system is good and I'm used to that system with my car. There is a key for the lockable glovebox where there is a 12v socket and a seat emergency pull cord. The mirrors are excellent. A couple of issues, can not fully see the dash indicators being hidden by the high handlebars and their covers, I'm obviously too short! One pillion mechanism is not working 100% and on further investigation a circlip for the main pin may be missing, not a biggie but a side panel may need to be removed, that may be a dealer warranty item on my first service? According to the manual 500km then every 4000km, being a thimble filter this short interval is common place but they say service every 6 months or 4000km! Don't think so, not for me, yes, maybe a quick self oil change and filter clean. Nearly 200 mile showing so only another 100 mile or so for the 1st service. The speedo outer in in Km with Mph on inner but the digital odometer is displaying miles so must be changeable but I can not find it in the manual. Overall a good first days experiece and will post more info as and when.
Forgot to mention at first I thought that the temp guage was broken, it was on C and never moved then after 50 constant mile it moved about 1mm up. When at Scotch Corner I sat on the bike with the engine running for about 3 minutes or so and the guage then moved up a couple of segments. So it works and when back riding it went back down to just above the lowest mark. Not what I'm used to but as long as I know it functions.

Great first impressions! That does look very comfortable. When I saw that Scoot I was sooo tempted... I think I'm jealous! My temp gauge takes ages to move too, so I'm guessing it's been engineered with warmer climates in mind! Some Citycom owners have put a mouse mat in front of half the radiator. The idea behind that is to help raise the ideal operating temperature quicker - to turn the (efi) choke off sooner - and they've found it increases their mpg too. My XL Nitro F347 Flip Up doesn't 'fit' under the Citycom seat, but the XL Nitro 75 does. How are you finding the physical size of the Scoot? How does the handling feel? Does it feel quick off the mark...
Oh, and have you dried off yet?

If I remember correctly when I saw the vid of an ff going under the seat the helmet was inserted into the rear section facing the rear.

So are you a happy muppet now you have the Daelim?

Maybe I can make another muppet happy...

How about a Sym Citycom 300i motor in a retro Vespa-esque package with an mph speedo for £3200 brand new? (less with some haggling?)
