Re: Maxsym 600 again
I was offered £3500 but he hinted at a better deal. Well more or less said there would be more room to move on price. I just need a go really. I rode back in some terribly heavy rain and thought abs brakes would be a God send at times

Re: Maxsym 600 again
I bought unseen but it's not for everybody, one man's meat is another ones poison. To me both the 400 and the 600 have bike like handling qualities which was another reason I felt at home on them. Has I stated in another post I have become a convert to big engined scoots which is something I did not think would happen. Even though the 600 is still tight there is so much oomph there. Hardly touching the throttle takes it to 70 whilst you are aware of how much you still have in reserve. It's great for me because the coast road here does get its windy moments and whilst not in the heavy cruiser league the extra grunt is noticeable. It terms of weight I have not noticed the increase over the 400 and it is much lighter than say the Burg 650 which means it's good to throw around.

Re: Maxsym 600 again
The reason I cancelled my test ride on the 650 Burg was the weight. I know it's OK when moving and I've ridden heavy Guzzi Cali's but I use my scoot all the time and I didn't want a heavy beast when paddling it around. Also it's £9k!!
Is the 600 noticeably better that the 400 or is it subtle difference, its supposed to be smoother I believe.

Re: Maxsym 600 again
I so wanted a Burg 650 but the weight and price lost it for me. Before anybody got to test a 600 the concern was that this big single thumper would shake rattle and roll. Well SYM have done a great engineering job and it's as smooth as silk, more smoother than the 400. A guy on another site wrote to me to say he was getting vibration in the left grip. I have not had that, he is a very heavy guy mind you and he often rides 2 up. I don't know if that would effect the vibration I know he has upped the suspension. So yes it is subtle differences, more grunt and a lovely note from that sexy exhaust
