Nearest Daelim dealer to Dundee is Edinburgh, 60odd miles away.
In Dundee there's Piaggio and BMW, next closest Suzuki in Cupar 13 miles, then Kymco and Honda in Perth 20 miles, then there's Kawasaki and Yamaha in Kirkcaldy 30 miles then Sym in Dunfermline 50 miles.

Is the Manchester one at Youles?gn2 wrote:Try finding used ones in the part of Scotland where the OP lives.
Almost impossible for the SH and even harder for the Aprilia.
Looking at Bike Trader there are only two cube 300s, one in London and one in Manchester.
The one in Manchester is asking far too much and the one in London is a stolen recovered high mileage p.o.s.
And another one on eBay in Wales, again far too expensive.

Yes, Youles has one advertised on Bike Trader, no pictures yet.
The white looks good, better than the black and red ones imo.
I just did a search for all Aprilias 200-300cc and that revealed there's one in Edinburgh: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 5063956213" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Model suggestions please
Once again thanks for all the suggestions, once my wife is in a position to buy a scooter to replace her bike we won't have any problem travelling for the right scooter, we travelled down to Stafford for my CB1000 as it's a pretty rare bike and it was the colour I wanted so don't mind a wee road trip.
Received a PM from a member but can't for the life of me seem to be able to figure out how to reply so apologies but I'll stick it in here and hopefully they see it ?
Hi,
Thanks for the info and suggestions, I've shown my wife the models suggested and she's chosen two she likes the look of, the Gilera sport city cube 300 and the Gilera runner 200.
If it was me I like you like the look of the Kawasaki J300 but she's really after a physically smaller scooter so a lot of the suggested models were dismissed on this basis, she's disappointed that there seems to be very little choice bearing in mind she wants a sporty looking 50/125cc style scooter but doesn't want such a small engine.
What's your opinion on the sport city ? Personally I'm a bit put off by the runner as loads of them appear to be registered as 125's and I imagine have been thrashed to within an inch of their lives ? I'm pushing her more towards the sport city cube but we know next to nothing about Gilera having only ever owned Honda and Kawasaki motorbikes, what's your opinion on reliability, parts availability, etc ?
Thanks again

Re: Model suggestions please
Well unless you've already looked at the J300 I wouldn't rule it out so quickly, it is a smaller scoot and shouldn't be intimidating at all.
There's a balance to be made between light/nimble and stable/road presence.
