Gents this post was about bus lanes and riding with d locks on not an excuse for political potification. This is a vehicle forum so can we try to keep ramblings to two wheels

c4aok...you are perfectly correct and my apologies for joining in on the unhelpful non topic comments which even if necessary should be kept for other forums...I should know better.

If I may just revert to the question you originally posted; I can't speak for other motorcyclist but I do consider my intelligence level to be somewhat below the average, let me just justify that:
I ride in the pissing rain when I have a perfectly good (dry) car sitting outside.
I consistently pick the wrong lane to filter in when the motorway is snarled up.
I regularly leave the side stand up when vacating the machine.
I frequently leave the side stand down when setting off.
I often spend 10 minutes swearing because I have closed the seat with my keys inside, only to discover that they were in my pocket all the time.
I have been known to attempt spectacle placement with my visor still down.
I have fitted new tyres then immediately forgotten, only remembering when I am sliding down the road on my arse.
I think that I have proved the point in my case, obviously I can't possibly comment on others

I've just had a notification on my phone that my normal 55 minute journey home is forecast to take 1hr 30 due to an accident on the A13 (not even on my route!). So the smart thing to do is take a wide diversion and avoid the whole area.
But as a motorcyclist I am obviously going to ignore that and just take my normal route home. Obviously!

By Eck... when I said,
"Is it true that Scotland plans to drive on the right hand side of the road to harmonise with Europe from the 1st Jan 2016 if it's a Yes vote?"
It was meant to be TIC (tongue in cheek)... I did not want to start an International Incident or raise the threat level to Defcon 6!
Now... Calm Down & Carry On.
And a big
SORRYto c4aok for hi-jacking his thread.

Case proved no sane rider would use the A13. It is more fun in dark with a bit of rain and gusting winds thrown in. Just not dangerous enough in daylight hours even with the 50mph average speed zone!!!!
