Ummmm. Not quite. In my experience, that is. Top speed is limited by the gearing and 70 is it, assuming the belt is in good condition. For quite a while I was hitting the rev limiter at 65, which was really annoying. Changed the belt at 10k, which solved the problem.

I've managed 103mpg on a couple of occasions but realistically, early 80's in this colder weather rising to early 90's in the warmer weather. Still, I don't think that's too shabby.

Hello and welcome. It does get a bit tiring hearing " get a proper bike" or as some harley riders said to my mate which really upset him " i suppose its all right for a runabout" referring to his 650 Burgman  8 months on it still annoys him!

She's not seen it yet .I'm surprised how she took to the Vespa should of kept blue one I brought and sold that she never saw .She's just brought and put up a picture of vintage Vespa on the wall in conservatory .Also I got the "look" when I told her had booked myself on VCB rally in lake district but not her .Had to book early to get campervan space so can add her just didn't know if she would want to go.

Pete

Vespa GTS300 Super for practical runabout, Triumph Tiger Explorer for conquering the planet. Car almost obsolete.
