I agree if it's a nice ride not pounding Autoroute. One thing I learnt going to Spain let the ferry do the work.

I'll be bobbing around on this baby after a 150 mile ride to Portsmouth then straight off ferry for an overnight in Caen do Pegasus bridge next day before moving hotel ;) ;)
