Last week on a glorious day I checked out our route for June 2nd. BMW Motorrad have given us permission to use their parking areas where we will be meeting and The Butchers Hook have been told we will be arriving late lunchtime(ish), extra staff on standby

I must admit that it's a good route and within a mile of starting off we're straight into the twisties. South of the A127 too, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite having checked for road closures before setting out and mapping a diversion I was still confronted by 2 road closures, one of which required a long detour. On the day I guess we may suffer the same as there seems to be a lot of roadworks at this time of year.
The cafe is good I'm pleased to say, mainly breakfast stuff plated or in sandwich form... and for Data I'm pleased to inform that they have a defibrillator, shocking I know, isn't it?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a raincheck on this one. I'm moving house on Monday 3 June. Bugger!

I hope you can come along for this Sunday's (June 2nd) Maxi-Muppets ride from Witham to the Butchers Hook Cafe, Heathfield in Kent.
The weather forecast is good for a change with sunny spells
The ride starts from BMW Motorrads car (bike) park in Witham at 9:30, that is - we leave at 9:30 so arrive in good time and make sure to fill your tank(s) up, there's an Esso petrol station just next door!
On the way there will be a brief stop at Langdon Discover Centre to unload excess coffee.
Destination - the Butchers Hook Cafe, biker friendly, good food, indoor/outside seating, large car park, defibrillator, toilets, free Wi-Fi etc, etc.
