Had mine a couple of months. Only done 200 miles due to a spell of bad health and a hospital stay. Bloody frustrated, especially with this lovely weather and living 20 minutes from North Wales.
There's only so much polishing you can do!!!!

I note that I didn't get a service book - these are now considered Old Fashioned it seems! I guess its OK if you go back to a Honda dealer for servicing and they record it on their systems, but otherwise, you will just have to keep the receipts for what you had done as evidence. My nearest Honda dealers are 40+ miles away in Blackpool or Carlisle - I can't see myself popping up there, especially in winter!
Yep - with the added delight that Honda won't consider it as having a Service Record at trade-in time if the services aren't on its computer system - whether you have receipts/evidence or not. They made that clear when I bought mine.
The joys of the modern world...

Its infuriating and sails very close to breaking the law which says that the warrantee cannot insist that manufacturer approved dealers are the only ones allowed to service their vehicles. But in the "modern world" all the vacuous rubbish spouted by sales men/women comes to nothing and public expectations of good dealer relationships with customers are practically zero. All the more reason to value the exceptional dealer staff if you find them.

I thought the law about main dealer servicing and warranties only explicitly applied to cars.

Ive just done a quick Google and the law about using non-dealoer serving and preserving the warranty only applies to vehicles with three wheels or more. So it doesn't apply to bikes. So check the small print on the warranty.

It's at the discretion of the dealer I suppose. Of course a full honda service history will attract a slightly better trade in.

Yes...I guess there is the question of the warranty, if you don't have it dealer serviced by an official dealer. Still, according the manual, it only needs servicing every 8000 miles, and it'll take me a couple of years at least to do that many miles! Its done 600 miles, so the 1st service has already been done.

Every year or 8000 miles. Mines just came out of warranty so now it gets serviced elsewhere. But now honda do 6 year warranty as long as you service with them.
Mines done 6600 miles and has had its 600 mile service and two annual services.

I bought the service package for £250 from the supplying Honda dealer with mine, 3 services, 600 miles service, then 2 annual services, 27 Months in total. Had it 6 months now, and covered 2200 miles, no regrets, very pleased with bike. Had the first service at 600 miles, and two further annual services to go. Good value, I thought. I have queried why there was no service book, and was told it was now online, tried to log in to the service record, but it doesn't work. I have the receipt for the service carried out, so I will keep that for my service history. Running very well no problems.

Get them to fix that. I had that with my service and had to nag the to add it to the records
