I'm lazy so would probably just make an offer on an ebay one, for example

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/205267590555 ... ondition=4

Or pick up a cheap new injector from aliexpress. Just pull the hose from the existing one and swap them.

Hi
I have removed the old injector and checked its resistance and that is all within parameters.

The injector was cleaned in an Ultra Sonice tank and then forward cleaned and reserve cleaned using Car Carb Cleaner spray. This cleaned the injector and I will reassemble it all and see what happens next

Don't forget the ECU can only raise fault codes based on electrical information, so either the injector solenoid or a sensor upstream of the injector.

You need to carry out physical tests not just believe the electrical data. With a injector, take it out of the engine, direct the flow into a container and fire it up, see if petrol actually moves.

Hi Andy
Yes i have removed the injector and tried starting the bike to watch the fuel flow and also to watch the spray pattern too.

So, there is fuel there and a spark but no start.

Hi Andy
I have not been able to complete a compression test using the compression testing tool that i have. The tool i use is for cars and i need an adaptor to fit my inpection tool into where the spark plug goes.
Having said that, i have placed my finger over the spark plug hole whilst we have tried starting the engine, and there is compression there.

The engine should still start or combust the fuel in the cyclinder as i turn it. But i get nothing at all.

Presumably your Haynes manual shows you how to check the timing. Have you done that yet?

That is the weekend job. To check timing and make sure that everything is as it should be.

Timing is about the only thing left if you have fuel, spark and compression.

Andy
Is the timing a common issue on moped etc?
