I wonder if this is down to the PCX being built in a Thai factory?

I presume it was designed by Mr Honda in Japan (or maybe Italy) and only assembled in Thailand, though there are increasing numbers of specific models in the Far East designed to meet particular local needs.StephenC wrote:I wonder if this is down to the PCX being built in a Thai factory?

I doubt it.StephenC wrote:I wonder if this is down to the PCX being built in a Thai factory?
Just poor design.

The PCX was designed in Thailand to appeal to Thai teenagers - newly wealthy city types.
From conception to production was all Thai

Here's what Honda have to say on the subject of creating the PCX

They should put something in about the stall outside the Honda R&D centre that makes weird banana fritter things with condensed milk poured over it. Really strange but tasty and addictive.
Definately worth a design award just for them.

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
well I had a test ride on a forza yesterday. Its not for me. I was quite sure Id be buying one when I saw it in the flesh, but once on the road, a quick engine a la sh 300, I know they arn't the same but they feel very similar ,smooth and responsive. Nice clock layout too , quite atractive.
My main gripes are it feels phyically small , I know its a 300 but my s-wing 125 felt bigger with more legroom and much more comfy. My wife who came pillion said it was like a sportsbike pillion, the footpegs wernt wide enough, the rear seat is flat and she was sat much higher than me , taking all the wind blast. Which leads to my main gripe, its a naked scooter , the small screen does nothing whatsoever ,full wind blast in the face, I came back to the shop quite dissapointed.
The only way I would ever consider one was if I ended up at 5ft, under 10 stone , with 150 quid in my back pocket to buy a givi screen.

You've just confirmed what the test reports I've read are saying...the screen is useless. I'm sure Honda, Givi and a 1000 other European companies will be offering aftermarket screens of all shapes and sizes (presumably grotesquely big ones for the Italian market)horobags wrote:. Had a look at one in the showroom, it had just arrived.
Plan on a test ride sometime next week.
Initial impressions are that it looks very comfy and compared to a PCX it probably will be.
Screen not an issue for me, what's wrong with a bit of wind blast?
It'll keep me cool in the Scottish heat

Honda do an accessory large screen, though I don't know how much it costs.
