Back in the saddle after 3 weeks having buggered my back.

Nice ride in to work this morning. Ok it was raining, a roasty 6'c and the roads a tadge greasy but no one tried to kill me or be a star in Idiot Drivers UK so it was good. Out for a 45 minute play at lunch time as it is now sunny then the long way home

Not on a scooter but 242 miles in Wales on the W 800, doing the last way points
for the Round Britain Rally, did not get much rain but most of the roads were wet
and some very muddy, called on Dogsbody for a interesting natter and a cracking brew
on the way home, arrived home having averaged 45 mph and 71 mpg, a good ride out
all I have to do now is decide weather to clean the W or plant spuds.

Coated the exposed piston areas on my brakes with the red rubber grease I got off ebay, touched up the rear rim which my local shop chipped paint off while changing my rear tyre, and gave it a good wash and shine after yesterdays ride.

I think one of the pads also has a small locating pin?
I think this may be down to how the parking brake is actuated...
Seen similar described in the 400 Majesty manual, but not in the XMax400 manual...
Maj has a parking brake... Xmax doesnt.

I think you might be right Paul. The handbrake rotates a fast thread device to move the piston onto the pad and the pads have the small dimple which locates in the recess on the piston. My own fault for not reading the manual first. Experience did stop me forcing the piston in however when it wouldn't push in easily. We're never too old to learn..

I was the rear gunner for a Honda Owners club ride today on the Silverwing 600, many were surprised by the performance of the scooter down the A2, and I had plenty in reserve, even after all this time the standard question is ''what size engine is it''. Lovely day in Kent.
