You think the GP is a toy, you're probably right but it's a toy that you have never had fun
playing with. You've sat on the GP and the T-Max and that gives you the ability to comment
on there relative good and bad points a rare talent indeed. Nor have I rode all the scooters
in the world but I feel the one's I have rode give's me a greater ability to comment on them.
You again seem to have a rare talent a dealer that didn't want to sell you
something a rare breed indeed. "The GP isn't stylish " you my friend are either blind or stupid,
maybe both. As for looking like a cock what the f88k you on about. Interesting comment about
the FJR and the VRF maybe you can enlighten me on the good and bad points about these
fantastic machines after your intensive test rides. Or are these just something you've sat
on pulled the brake lever and hey presto your an expert. By the way I have rode both do you
want to know what I think, maybe not.
You and I, I feel live in different worlds and I feel it's best left that way.
Bored with this now I'll leave it to you to have the last word as I've no doubt you will.

First off can you guys stop bickering? The OP is thinking of getting a maxi-scooter not seeing
who can win an argument over the Gilera GP800!
Personally i'd get a 250/300 for most uses, unless your regulary using dual carriageways and motorways.
If you frequently travel on dual carriageways/motorways then i'd say you'd need a 350/400 machine.
If your happy to sacrifice storage for a little more oomph/sportier ride then get a 500 or intergra.
If you go touring then the B650/Silverwing is your machine.
Finally if you want sheer acceleration, speed and a sporty ride above all else then the Gp800/SRV is your machine.
Then there's the auto bikes, VFR, FJR but then these are still bikes with semi-auto boxes and lack weather protection
scooters provide.
What scoot you choose is up to you, some may to cramped, lack a decent local dealer etc. So you may want to
look around, do some research, sit on, test ride scoots when you can.

It was an attempt at humour and defusing someone who takes any differing opinion as a personal insult.

I'd suggest geting
The new x10 becaue of you high mileage, servicing intervals are much further apart and its economical, or the burgman 650 simply for that high mileage again

You're going to have to try out the various options, because of your height some may fit better than others and you'll have a clear favourite, but it'll be different to what someone else might pick, so no one can give you the answer.
Your shortlist covers main options, if you plan to ride 2-up regularly I'd stick to the larger cc options:
Burger 400/650
Silverwing
TMax
X10
There are others (Nexus, Downtown, Joymax) but I think you need to reduce the list not extend it, in most cases you'll need to add a Givi aftermarket screen.
