Even if they do see you, don't assume they are sane, reasonable competent or won't hit you intentionally.
3 stolen cars tried to ram me as they were escaping from a robbery. The second one got me and came back for another go. He was perfectly happy to kill any rider
Some people say skill is better than hi-Vis and its a fair point; but if you are already lying in the road unable to move being seen is all you have to protect you.
On a bike, lowering the odds against you still leaves them massively high
