Austria? Austrian firm but made in China, used to be the 'Generic' brand (as it says on the graphics). However, it does look an attractive scoot though, with butch styling, and an attractive looking spec.[/quote]
Austrian KSR Group GmbH, manufacturer and importer of motorcycles, scooters, quads and ATVs, anounced the re-naming of ist own motorcycle brand „GENERIC“ to „KSR MOTO by GENERIC“ at Intermot 2012.
Since 2004 GENERIC developed and launched various models that became successful in more than 30 countries and became market leaders in their segments in several countries. Most of GENERIC’s models were designed by world-famous motorcycle designer Gerald Kiska. In 2012, GENERIC launched the first motorcycle with the new 125 cc EFI-engine developed by KSR Group’s engine development department.
When KSR Group got the chance to become importer and distributor for several well-known brands such as CFMOTO (for Germany and Austria), LML (for Austria) or Lambretta (for Germany, Austria and France) it became clear that KSR Group would have to make a clear differentiation between the products that were created by and those that were just distributed by KSR Group.
i have owned a 125cc boatian in 2011 and i can say they are a different scoot to what the KSR moto scoot is

there build quality and design and electrics were as to say "needed a careful watch over" yet the carb engine was easy to maintain.. the generic brand has always progressed and i dont know many 125cc efi water cooled units, so this is a great leap forward. and the aggressive styling and low centre of gravity with big wheels and kit and screen to boot look great spec.. they even do the 150cc for some european countries that need it,
