Anyone near Leeds want to check out a TMax for me?

Make sure they can show you service records and ask about the pump and weather its been changed. drive a hard bargin and good luck

Sarge: Nice, I doubt I'll turn down the yellow one so if the Leeds one is available go for it

The one in Durham, they won't go lower than £5300

Maxiscoot nz: I really doubt the pump has been changed at such low mileage so I'll likely have another pump change to do in a couple of years

The scoot has only done just over 3000 miles and has had 2 owners both have had it serviced at the dealer that is currently selling it so they have the full history.


The only thing I hate about it, is the top box... its a bodge job Givi not the proper Yamaha one that I still have and will likely use instead.

A question...

1. If the diagnostics are run with the fuel pump still active can that cause any issues? I forgot to disconnect it at first so the pump runs during the test.

Anyway... she looked great and sounds great, couldn't test ride because my back and knee was feeling a bit naff after the long car journey...having re-run the diagnostics after disabling the pump I noticed the fan actuator test failed, the fan did not come on as it should. So before delivery/payment they are investigating and sorting it out.

Salesman seemed very surprised at how thorough I was

Scoot was up for £4500 and I negotiated £4200 with delivery and a tank of fuel, its only recently had a service, but it will also be checked over before delivery.

And me! Sold my GTS this morning. Guy said he wanted to negotiate on price until he viewed it and offered my full asking price! Put a deposit on the Tmax in Leeds and then took a drive up to see if it was as good as he said. Great dealer, very smart showroom with hi-tech workshop. As for the Tmax I was literally gobsmacked. Just over 7000 miles and it looks brand new. One owner who obviously spent a lot of time cleaning. Got a Ermax rear hugger on it and sadly a standard screen so I'll need to order a short dark one.

Having the rear hugger was one of the pluses on that TMax that I liked, sadly both our new TMaxes have full screens but luckily I have about 4 others of varying sizes
