Tony happy to help if you want to pop over here on Saturday. I have a workbench to sit the machine on plus all the tools one would ever need and a compressor. You have two choices order what you think is broken or strip down to find the culprit. Bear in mind stripping down may add to the damage if there is indeed any. Robinsons Foundry are normally pretty quick getting Suzuki stuff. I am not familiar with the 400 as I have only ever changed the belt on the brothers but I am handy with spanners have rebuilt a dozen or so bikes and can download a manual if you do not have one.
