Reckon this is going to turn out to be quite a meet. Going to be a few friends coming along with me and we were thinking of going off to Maldon for a little ride in the afternoon, what say you?
Won't be fast 'cos there will be a couple of Cubs in there somewhere

High Beech to Maldon taking scenic route and at a slowish pace, is about an hour and quarters ride. That said, it is very nice there particularly down at the quayside. As it is on my door step and I frequent it on a regular basis, I will give it a miss on the day but I am sure that those who do venture there, will enjoy it. There are a couple of pubs at the quay and normally a small cafe that is open in the park, close by.

I'd be up for that ride if the weather is ok.

Happy to join the entourage to Malden, not been there but it sounds nice
Just need him upstairs to make the weather a tad warmer and dry.

Dave Weller wrote:Anyone from the south of Thames, we could meet at the ESSO garage Dartford, before going through the Tunnel. The garage is on the road from the A2/M25 roundabout to Dartford. It takes about 1/2 hour from that garage tops. I've been there a few times.
I may meet up there with Dave Weller and whoever else but I'll be on the Cub so half hour may be pushing it!

Ged, That original post about the 1/2 hour, assumes using the M25, but things have moved on a bit from there, as you probably know a few fellow cubbers are also going, so we will be taking a nice non-motorway bimble through south and north Ockenden and Brentwood.
See the C90 thread for times, Rob and Mark have farther to travel than me, so I will fit in with their schedule.
Chris. What a bummer having to spend a weekend in that place.
