Anyone have an update on the AK550 here in the UK?. Seeing one in a dealer, never mind a test ride seems a long way off.

I honestly don't believe it will get here except as a grey import.
Not enough maxis get sold and the importer just doesn't care.
Also all the kymco dealers here stocked the 125 k pipe but when I enquired about other models got offered deals on other makes.
last dealer was Chelmsford city who was flogging off a downtown cheap

Shame these type of machines don`t do well ( UK ) here as they look superb.
Its suprising what people will spend on a motorbike.
Yamahah should give T max demo`s all over the country so people can see what they are missing.
Best Mark.

MCN has a review of it. To summarise: good but not as good as the Tmax. Cheaper than the Tmax but not by enough.
They also have an update on the Xmax400 long-termer but it doesn't say much.

I`ve muttered on elswhere but the UK really needs a Swinging Arm midrange, mid priced scoot.
Something more a bit more Anti- pothole.
More important than the speed or power etc.
Best Mark.

They say the fuel tank capacity is 15l, whilst others have said 12.5l. I hope they are right, but it is More Crap than News.....
