Maybe...maybe not. I got my letter in Feb and had to wait weeks for the new stand to come in. I was booked in for March 25th which got cancelled - it being illegal to ride/drive anywhere at that time (for most people, anyway....). I wouldn't bank on the new stand being any less rust resistant than the previous one. I've already given mine a coat of ACF50!

I fogged the entire underside of the T-Max in the stuff before winter, but I guess I should've gone for repeat coats...

Your guess is as good as mine. Alternatively, maybe it’s time to try a coating of XCP Rust Blocker instead...

Just confirmed by my dealer that my May 2018 is on the new stand list, oddly enough it recently had it's first service and i thought
it would have been flagged up then.

Yamaha's recall process seems to work in odd ways! I got my letter in February! Though I guess a certain pandemic might have got in the way.....

Kawasaki's is as effective, and equally odd.

I got a letter, rang up my dealer and was told that they knew nothing about the recall.

2 days later they phoned me back to say they'd been sent a batch of parts with the recall details.

Makes you laugh if these recalls are for safety reasons!
