Just been thinking reflective stickers only work in the dark, so considering we won't be riding in the
dark in France do we need them?

The laws regarding reflective clothing in France have now been abolished, along with the suspension of breatherliser fines. Hope this link helps.

I think Frank was on about the stickers for the helmets. Which we do need. It's not worth arguing with French police, that it's daylight, cos we won't win! They'd probably keep us there til it got dark.
So for the sake of a few quid,, best to put them on and take them off when we get home as we please. It's only 4 strips x 65mm x 20mm
And I've already got a breathalyser, so I'll take it anyway.

French police are only bothered if you do something wrong or involved in an accident the chances of them stopping you in day light to check your helmet stickers are a million to one .In fact you'll be lucky if you see a copper at all for short time your in France .Worrying over nothing IMHO

A word of warning to anyone coming on the trip who hasnt travelled abroad before on a scoot/bike.
Avoid SAS and CAS.!!
Humid temperatures sat in the saddle for long periods can cause damp ambient temperatures in the underpants, with the odd fart having nowhere to go when sitting on the bike. This causes "Sweaty arse syndrome", quite uncomfortable, but wont spoil your day. Symptoms are ichy smelly ringpiece, with the constant feeling of " mud in your eye".
SAS can sometimes develop in to full blown CAS, "chapped arse syndrome", the feeling of chapped sore arse, symptoms are the feeling of glass splinters around the arse and cuffise, you wont be wiping your arse, youll be patting it dry.
Preventive measures for the above conditions are simply to leather your undercarriage every morning with a dollop of sudacrem, or similar healing cream. But dont let me see anyone with a jar of vasalene, as this may send the wrong signals out to fellow riders, and you may become quite unpopular!!!!!

Anyone would think they are sitting waiting for you to get off the chunnel .I was asked once for papers after we came off I said wife has them in her bag in Ambulance by time got them out of her handbag turned around they had pissed off .Mike got waved down for no headlight which he hadn't turned on as soon as he said had a spare bulb they let us go didn't even have to change bulb .They are not interested in tourists unless your excessively speeding .

They are sent us a bill for x rays and the sling they gave her when we got back .Also got chased for a fine in Florence for going into restricted area in a hire car .
