hello there all, its been a while!!
i have just fitted a new GPR Aprilia Atlantic 500 Exhaust Slip-on Stainless Maxi Streetfighter, it looks excellent!! it doesn't sound much louder than the original with the decibel killer (baffle??)in place but once removed it sounds great!! although not legal for our roads
it was pretty easy to install,
AFTER i had thrown away the instructions, which were a bit confusing to say the least!!
i will, if anyone is interested, post a couple of pictures after i have been out and tested it

cheers,
Don.

Went for a pootle around the Peak district - 150 miles or so.
Started of on Snake pass from the Glossop side and had a wander, lunch at Castleton. A few bikes out but I didn't see any scooters at all until I was back home and saw one wobbly learner on a maxi
Bright sunshine in the morning, light rain later, nothing too unpleasent. I feel much better for having had a mini escape.

Did a lot of things in the last few days, getting prepared for a trip to the coast
Big service done, including Dr. Pulleys!
Didn't go crazy with weight, chose 16 g to be similar to stock setup... it was worth it! Much better start, ride is smoother, it seems that sealion is gone. Still a bit early for details and top speed but so far it's goood
Before that, I had a feeling that sometimes my scoot is invisible in trafic, so I ordered some cheap LED (5 SMD) bulbs on eBay:
Yeah, it's blueish, not more powerful but more noticeable. I hope.

Pick up X9 from garage. £120 bill for new rear tyre/valve and a small weld on the centre stand.

Today I bought a tin of Halfords VHT matt black paint then rubbed down and touched up my exhaust. Very pleased with the result

Tried to change the front brake pads on the burger but came stuck when the caliper pins were roundered, so I couldn't change. I have had to order 4 new pins at £10 each. OUCH. Did the rear pads a bit easier, 20 mins tops. While I was replacing the rear ones I noticed that my rear tyre was bold. It's getting changed next saturday at £70.00 fitted at smc sheffield. I'm getting the bridgestone hoops as these were on the bike to start with. Topped up the oil and gave her a wash. What a busy weekend.

Wish that some manufacturers would change this design, I've had rounded caliper pins on both my last scoots (Burger 650 & SH125), I think No.1 check when you buy a new scoot is to remove these pins, copperslip & then don't overtighte. Much prefer the simpler split-pin version.
