Dealer says no worries it's under guarantee , in the mean time I got a rear wheel puncture,
a cut across the middle of the tyre that at 9000 miles was not worth mending even if it
could be done, so now have a new rear fitted all ok except the axle nut was so tight the
socket exploded all over the garage, never had that before, now back on the road it is now
due a oil change but thats no problem.

Blimey!! You must have been starting to wonder if it was a left hand thread?
And I'm keeping a close eye on my new front disc...

Who know's I have had many bikes and scooters some have eaten tyres one of the worst was a Neos 100
the Xmax is one of the best, on my last two bikes I was trashing front tyre's they looked like Dunlop
triangular s when I had done with them, maybe the xmax handling just suits my riding, but tyre
ware on it was a bit of a surprise to me.

Now at 10,000 miles seems to have lost interest in using oil though it as used touch it's only just noticeable over a thousand miles,
still got vibes on braking from the front now think it's not warped but the disc as soft and hard patches so you get uneven braking.
They are going to fit another new one and pads at the next service I will fit a EBC setup when the warranty runs out.
Had some good runs out with some long runs 344 miles round Wales a week or two back, it seems to have freed it's self up over
the last thousand miles feels a bit more lively though it never felt slow.

If you are referring to the disc problem then I am surprised your dealer is going to notify Yamaha and ask if other have the same issues. One mate on a 2018 X Max 125 has had both front and rear disc replaced under warranty. Another has had two front disc replaced, under warranty, in 9 months on a 2018 X Max 300 and is now awaiting a rear replacement. On this basis I'm sure Yamaha are aware of the problem.
