I might have accidentally put the side lights on when I put the steering lock on.
It is irritatingly easy to do...

Never managed it with the previous one... this is a first so I would be surprised it I achieved it but might have done it out of excitement

its not just a question of jump leads... its also tools to access the battery in the nose... you have to take off the front Y panel, both wing mirrors, the screen, undo the rubber flap over the battery, undo the battery clip and pull the battery forwards.

When the Road Side Assistance gets here... I'll give the option of 30 minutes work getting it going or 15 minute ride home :D

Oh yes, its hideous on the mk3! The mk4 is slightly better as you can get to the battery by taking the silly sliding tray compartment out.

That's a piss poor design, sounds a bit like a headlight bulb change on the Xevo (mirrors off, fairing off light cluster out yada yada yada)

In theory you just need to reach underneath the nose to get to those on the TMax... however due to all the cabling its nigh on impossible, so Y panel, both mirrors, screen, upper foot panels, lower front side panels, about 10 screws and bolts then lift off the entire nose cone.

Any way I think the battery is fine, it read 7 volts on my multimeter... gave it a 1 hour charge on a 4 amp car battery charger that I have, never needed a bike one before... volts read at 12v so chucked it in the scoot yesterday morning before work and rode it, checked it before leaving in diagnostics and it read as 12.2 and she's fine. Not sure if I might have damaged it with the car battery charger?

Meanwhile the scoot felt a little whallowy (SP?) so checked the tyre pressure this morning... 29 front but should be 33 (I do 34-35 as a preference) and 32 rear but should have been 35 for up to 90kgs (I normally do 40 because I weigh 95 but then I carry other stuff). So this morning after getting the tyres to my prefered pressure she's great.

Just have to buy the wrap to keep her sexy.
