After 9200 miles and 2 years and 2 months the ADV350 is being traded in. It has een an excellent bike with great handing and a perky engine and no reliability problems at all. Over those miles I have averaged 70.2 mpg.

So what is it being traded in for...

Originally I wanted more powerful Adv350 but not as heavy as the xadv. The zontes 368G looked to be a good choice, but it seems that although it might be quicker but still runs out of puff the same as ADV350. And a unproven in longer term reliability.

There's some interesting bigger cc ADV from Zontes and Voge, but no guarantee if they'll come to the UK or when.

So that left the Forza 750. But that's a heavy old barge. I love the Rebel 1100 DCT but I think that's more of a heart than head thing.

So I was unsure and not ready to make a choice.

But I was at motorteknics at Stowmarket last weekend and saw the MT-07 2025 YAMT. I had discounted it as I thought it was too high for me. But as the seat is narrow I can actually flat foot it when I sat on one.

So had a look at one at Alpha Motorcycles in Southend and they had a lovely ex demo one. Deposit done and collect on Saturday. :D

That's a great looking bike, Mottza, in the blue and black, I really like the looks of it. Did you have a test ride, and if so how was the automatic transmission?

Yes I did. The automatic transmission is lovely and smooth. Just as good as DCT.

Enjoy your new bike. It's a big step up in power, plus it seems to be the same
weight as the ADV 350, so it should be very lively in comparison - take it easy!

It's lighter than the NC750 for sure. 74hp on tap.

On the mt 7 and 9. And the Tracers s too.

Beemer are bringing one out soon on the R1200 I think.

Kawasaki has z hybrid with a terrible auto box.

There is supposed to be a KTM auto box as well, though whether that's been affected by KTM's financial troubles I don't know.

The Kawasaki hybrid sounds like it ought to be a great idea, but I've read reports of the poor auto box. They are selling a naked bike and a sports(ish) bike with the system, which strikes me as the wrong target market - no sportsbiker is going to buy a hybrid! You would think that its the sort of thing that would appeal to maxi-scoot owners, if it works anyway!
