Applied my new rear footrests and revision lids today

CCM got a run out, its been a while! ... gonna get SORN from the end of the month so gotta get some miles done!

I popped into the garage and looked at the nail in the back tyre. I got the rubber string repair kit out, then said "Bugger this, I'm freezing!" to myself, and went back in the warm.

Booked it into the garage tmrw to get the head bearings replaced.

Also ordered a set of new mirrors from aj Sutton as the ones on there have gone loose and keep swinging around

Picked up the Burgman 400 from the paint shop. Hmm, two small areas of paint reaction that I noticed after paying in the office! Damn. They are going to pick it up next week to redo. Otherwise a good job. I'll post before and after pics later.

Cleaned the alloy wheels with Wonder Wheels, it's the only product that would remove 95% of the stubborn thick mega caked on grime.
Exhaust blowing from joint, removed and pasted the joint.
Service will be next, I have the oil, filter and Iridium plug. Will also check the cvt, belt, clutch and final drive oil, it drives well but seems a bit rattly around that area.

Finally after an undamaged chrome exhaust cover, if you have one let me know.

Went out with two M8s for potentially our last Sunday long run. I took the 650 for better weather protection and the heated grips and seat were on constantly. 120 miles around Northumberland with fish and chips at Amble. Sunny but so cold even at indicated 7°C at 11am and dropping to 4°C at 3pm, my knees were frozen. B roads were potential hazards due to damp and leaves, I think if the weather permits it will be only small local trips until the Spring.

Mottz: thats a two hour job you could have done yourself, less if its only the top one (usually) that needs doing



Took the Max for a spin to my parents (45 miles round trip) and used half a tank as I went the fast roads route

Need to change the oil for the first time now, likely Friday as I have that off
