Yes, tablets = shims
Don't know yet if they will require camshaft removal to change them, hopefully not.

This is only the 350 motor though. For the 500 I presume it's the same set up as the Nexus/X9 which is a shame as the 500 would have been the more appealing motor for me as a little more power would be nice when I have a pillion (nearly every day).

true although I understand the 350 is as powerful as a 400

With "current" Xevo 400 engine spec added -
Linky 2 and an idea on the listed dry weights.

MCM also say that the UK isn't getting the 500 model - is that true???

So to get max power out of the 350 you have to really be thrashing it? With the torque, it's a 750rpm over the
400. 1000rpm over the 400 for max hp. Surely this won't be so good on fuel? Perhaps a 400 will be the better
option? It's nearly as heavy as the 400 as well and produces slightly less torque. Just can't see this being to
great in my honest opion. Surely the 400 motor would be better overall?

Although your logic makes sense Piaggio claim the 350 is more fuel efficient.
I'm guessing because they've made "technical" improvements to the engine, this means things I don't understand like "wet clutch & dry sump" according to MCM review I've just read.

Your dealer should still be able to get one.
