Oh no, I don't believe I ride a motorbike, I know for a certain fact that I ride a Honda PCX scooter which is a type of motorcycle.

Re: British Attitude to Scooters
I don't consider myself a "biker", mainly because the few people I've met that do go around calling themselves that have been the sort of insufferable bores that I'd rather not have any association with; real or implied. That's not to suggest that all bikers or anyone here is that way, it's just my own personal experience thus far.
I've never had a problem classifying my ride as a "motorbike" or a "scooter". I always just say I ride a "Tmax" and let people figure the rest out for themselves. If anything, it pleases me to be riding something which defies classification!

The Tmax is a scooter.Turisu wrote: it pleases me to be riding something which defies classification!
Spot on plus you get people riding a Tmax, Nexus etc who try and make out that the "lines have been blurred between scooter and motorbike" when the reality is they're riding a scooter but are too embarrassed to admit it.Liam wrote: too many people are apologetic for riding a scooter.
Not getting at you, Turisu, but I've seen it all too often on various forums over the years. People will go into great detail about really boring stuff like how something on their scooter is in the same place as a motorbike or how it has motorcycle-like handling.
The Tmax, Nexus, new BMW's, Burgmans, every fecking maxi scooter are SCOOTERS!

Re: British Attitude to Scooters
Yes they are all scooters but to claim that a scooter isn't a type of motorcycle and the usage of the term PTW is just daft.

I will ignore your constant trolling.

Re: British Attitude to Scooters
So an opinion which isn't yours is trolling?
Maybe the attitude to scooters was caused by the attitude of scooterists themselves, the age old chicken or egg question...?
Trying to argue that a sooter isn't a motorcycle is like trying to argue that a convertible isn't a car because the bodywork is different.

Re: British Attitude to Scooters
A scooter is a scooter and a motorcycle, you are only a 'biker' if you're addicted to manual, so if a scooter is a manual does does that make you a biker? no because its still a scooter and a motorcycle... I guess that the 'bikers' view on things.
Are scooters gay? only to brainwashed bikers who have little or no knowledge of actually riding one.
Are bikers gay? I am sure some are, not necessarily because they like wearing tight brightly colored leathers.
What do I do/say when someone calls my scooter a hairdryer? I agree by saying 'its a 120mph 500cc hairdryer, wanna race on the twisties'? No takers in 6 years.
The above gn2 response leads me to the next question/answer...
Is gn2 a troll? some of the time, WELCOME TO THE TRUE SPIRIT OF THE MUPPETS!!!
