I wouldn't, I tried it in the States some years ago and ended up borrowing one off a mate in the end after a couple of days lol just my thoughts not meant to incite a debate.

				i rode for around ten years without wearing a helmet dont know law came in ,used to wear goggles tho

OK. Yes. I was not wearing an open face helmet so I only ASSUME that I would have experienced major facial injuries if I had. But if you hit a van at 50+mph and milliseconds later  hit the deck face first, I think its a damned safe assumption. I can't think of an alternative scenario ...

				Even though I didn't need one when I started, my dad insisted, and have used one ever since.
I only ever rode once without, (and that was without thinking), and the noise frightened the living daylights out of me.
A knackered Bantam makes a lot more noise than you think when you haven't got a dome on.
