Agreed Stephen, the more scoots the better in my book. Personally, coming from bikes to scooters I think the scooter market is the place to be and it's more exciting, more dynamic with a broader range of people using them, which is nice to see. It's all good!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Most definitely.
All we need now is for Sym, Kymco and Yamaha to ship ABS versions of their UK 250-300cc maxis and for Peugeot to get a decent importer and dealer network sorted and bring us the Citystar 200

looks nice....id like a taller screen....and i like the rear view mirrors on the handlebars, much easier to adjust on the move and also replace cheaply if broken..
even if honda is £500 more than competition it will be £ well spent... 8-)

ABS available, obviously. And apparently they have simplified things such as the transmission in order to make it cheaper.

Only things I don't like are the naked handlebars and the weight - 192kgs (+2 for the ABS). I guess they're happy with that being 10kg lighter than the 2008 model.

Bound not to come here though.

It is definitely coming over here.I got it on a email from Honda (work) saying it is one of their new models for 2013.

I shall see it at the NEC next week.

I still think it's going to be to expensive. Looking at the stats given by Honda it's still got less
HP and torque than the SYM/KYMCO. Peak figures (RPM) are near enough the same for all three.
Unless it produces nearly all its HP and torque from 2000RPM and then throughout the RPM range
(which I doubt).

Even so, it'll need to at least 2 seconds faster to 60mph, do at least 20mpg more to a gallon
than the SYM/KYMCO to make it worth the extra money Honda want. But Honda already say it'll
do 87mpg. Why pay more for less? SYM & KYMCO worked for Honda so Honda reliability doesn't
have any effect on me (my near five year old SYM GTS has only had a £20 switch fail, exluding
normal consumables of course - tyres, oil, pads etc).

I not a power freak, yes, 24hp is enough for normal use, but then 29hp and more torque will help
with acceleration. The only thing i'd like improved on my 250 is it's acceleration, 11secs is to slow
on dual carriageways and M-ways in my opinion. But then if the Honda does turn out to out accelerate
the SYM/KYMCO then it'll get more interest out of me.

But still, it's nice to see a major company focusing on lower capacity Maxi with an ordinary CVT. We need more
250/300 choices at the moment - hopefully the other manufacturers will bring out more 250/300 machines.

If it's built in Italy it'll be expensive. If in Thailand like the PCX it'll be cheaper. I like it, although to be honest I think the Bev is a better scooter.

Both Honda and Yamaha make some machines in Italy. Yamaha made their BT1100 in Italy
apparently..

The Honda looks too chunky for me I much prefer the fab looking Aprilia SR Max 300
