THM = Thai Honda Motor Co. Ltd
They build the PCX and Forza don't they?
I don't think there products are necessarily cheap for a scooter, just cheap for a Honda - seeing as Honda Europe's high end S-Wing scooter is listed as £4,000, and that's only a 125.

on a slight different tangent here, £4500 is a lot of dosh.. especially when you think of what theft detterent comes as standard on them .. including mine.. should all have audible alarm/strong unbreakable steering lock

S-wing is listed at £4000 but I've seen them advertised as low as £3400
It could be argued that £4500 is expensive for a Forza when a CB500F is available for £4200?
(also made in Thailand)
The Forza competition, Downtown, Joymax, Kymsaki are all similarly priced.
I think they are all too expensive and should be nearer the Daelim Advance in price.
End of the day the price is what it is and you either pays it or you don't.
Thai manufacture is A Good Thing if it keeps the price down and quality up.
Unfortunately quality control seems to suffer, but the reality is that Honda have always had problems in this regard.
Two Thai Honda scooters I've had now, both have had quality/design issues.
My local dealer Ecosse in Aberdeen is simply brilliant and I would like to continue as one of their customers, but with at least two years of Forza ownership left I'm already minded to swap brands next time.
Problem is there currently isn't another scooter available which meets my exacting requirements.
So I might have to buy a..... motorbike
Re security, the Forza has the HISS immobiliser and Datatag, insurance for it costs me less than the PCX ever did.

Re security.. having data tag seems to be standard these days and i am all for an immobiliser. but that does not stop the dic. heads ragging your steering then walking down the road with your ride.. all scoots and bikes should have stronger steering locks and an audible alarm as standard, even a main stand lock... you would look in disgust at a car salesman whom said "sorry mate dont come with alarm"
maybe in a couple of years there will be an alternative scoot for you gn2, lets see what crops up new be4 may next year

Nope, I wouldn't give a shite.
Preferable if it doesn't have an alarm tbh, its just something else to go wrong.
(my current car doesn't have one)
I have weird taste in cars, I'm currently admiring the Dacia Sandero.

Dacias are very popular in Western Europe especially the Logan which wasn't (but now is) available over here, more's the pity.
I like the somewhat old-fashioned idea of there being a basic (cheap) model to which one can add 'extras' if one wants.
My Pcx had the center stand issues, warped disk, stalling, pain in the arse valve checks, seat hump. The S-wing had leaking oil/waterpump seal.
I was really looking forward to this coming out but don't like the look of it and i was hoping for a 200/250 option, a 125 a GT that will be on the limiter at 70mph? It looks smaller and sportier than the s-wing but i wanted something a little bigger and more 'grown up' looking.
With gn2 having problems with the Forza too i think i'm going back to looking at SYM. Wish i could justify buying a Maxsym but its a bit much for my 5 mile commute!

Not just me, if you look on the PCX/Forza forum another guy has had disc and pads replaced, there's quite a few people had the water pump seal issue and a whole lot more with failed fuel pumps.

It should be rare to have any problems in the first two years, yet both my Hondas have. Think they have become complacent as everyone assumes they are the highest quality, they are clearly cutting corners somewhere so ill be giving this little Forza a miss and test a Joymax 300 in Spring.
