Hows about a "northern chapter" meet sometime in the spring yorkshire way so them reet up north and them reet in the midlands can have a meet an a bag o fish n chips somewhere?

I did a Whitby run with the northerners about 4 or 5 years ago, ghost was there, me on my tmax, my old mate barney on his halfabusa 650 burgman, had a good run out!

I would be interested in attending, if I get back from France in time. Please add me to the list. Would be interested in any future event if I can't make this one.

How far is it to Duxford you say? All times and distances taken from AA route planner. Personally I would not want to ride all the way on a Motorway, (and cant anyway as we have a 125 L rider in my family), but splitting between motorways where its a real time saver and off onto A roads I would expect to beat these times fairly easily.

What is the planned meet time?

The plan is to meet up at around 11.00 have some social time. Find somewhere to eat that can cope with the vast numbers. Then move on to the Museum at Duxford at about 1 - 1.30. But everything is open to suggestions. So if anyone has any let me know.

The organised BBQ and Live bands are for the future meets. This is a starting point. Looking at some of the times / mileages from the populated areas this should not be to hard for anybody except us Oop North. I want to go to Duxford as its a great place anyway so everything to gain. If the weathers nice and you fancy supporting the idea then come along. Its not just Burgmans anyone is welcome on two or three wheels. Even SYMS - Brighton is surely not to far?

I think you should be congratulated for the idea Gerard. O.k. it is possibly a long way for some, I'm like you a fair distance away from the proposed meet but will attend if at all possible (might even camp overnight nearer). If this becomes, and it would be nice, an annual event, next year might be in somerset, which would be good for west country, year after north yorkshire, better for those oop north and south scotland. Lets all get behind this and make it an event to remember. Happy days.

I'm already tagging along with Alan on the Lands end jolly in May, but I really enjoyed the last pie n mash run, so the challenge of riding from South Devon to Duxford has a certain appeal to me warped sense of adventure! Bugger it! Stick me down on the list guy's.
