Thanks so much Steve. I was just thinking of applying for a Felixstowe visa from you to pop down for lunch somewhere. Obviously, I'd let you come too!

Yes, I think those are anal probes. I think aliens are a bit twisted. Seriously, I like a bit of probing if it gets the results. :o

All this worry about EV range, does anyone ride a scooter and what range do you get? asking for a friend :D

The Silence S01 has a range of 50 to 60 miles and it is improving now that it is fully run-in and loosened up. Unless I feel able to control my throttle hand I generally plan for a round trip limit of 50 miles. I can stretch this if I have to by staying in the mid speed setting which limits top speed to 50 mph. I don't regard it as safe to do this for long stretches on dual carriageways though.

Never ridden on ice but my 300cc Forza will go 200 miles on a tank on tarmac. Almost every scooter I've ever had would do much the same.

Range of a petrol scooter? How long is a piece of string??? On the Tmax, I normally get around 140 miles till the gauge shows empty, though there are still 3 ltrs lef, so ultimate range probably 180-190 miles, but this can vary with temperature, the sort of journeys, what sort of mood I'm in, congestion etc etc etc

Gliding along on the GTS at 60mph produces a comfortable useable range of around 170-175 miles in summer. A little less in winter. I don't like to run the fuel too low though due to the pump relying on being submerged to keep it cool. The low fuel warning light comes on at around 140-150 miles of riding so I usually head for the forecourt about then. But the GTS has a much more variable range dependant on year of the bike as the fuel tank capacity varies quite a bit. For some reason mine has a 9.5ltr capacity but most from my year have a 9.2ltr tank. Newer bikes have 8 point something. Can't remember exact size due to a haze of heart drugs....

PS. Errrr...still alive guys!

Good to hear that you are still alive ...staying alive..ah ah ah ah staying alive , did you sing that.

My point about scooter range ties into EV range that we are all worried about and where to stop if you have a long journey.
I am thinking of buying a new MG4 long-range EV 280 miles and 30 mins to charge from 10% to 80% and reckoned to be as good as a VW
