Yesterday I fitted a new front tyre, new front brake pads & belt & rollers. I'm £192 lighter but it needed to be done. Anyone know why the left hand caliper goes through pads quicker than the right on the nexus?

Its because the right hand lever only works the left front disc and the left hand lever works the linked front and rear disc system. So unless you use both levers at the same time you're only using the left hand caliper.

The little Liberty was starting to vibrate really badly so I had an idea what it might be and I was correct. The exhaust had come loose! My Leonardo used to do this too. Sadly one of the mounting bolts has snapped off flush to the casing so I'll have to drill that out later on. Apart from that I checked the front pads but they were new so I just cleaned everything up and reassembled. Looks like it might needs rear shoes according to the usage indicator but I'll check them next week.

Cleaned the air filter, transmission and SAS filter. Air filter needed and was due a clean but wasn't too bad. The trans and SAS filters however, were absolutely filthy and I mean filthy. The water was black as tar when I rinsed them!
