Aprilia SR Max 300 not available in the UK.
I believe that the previous models of Forza were made in Japan.
The new for 2013 model will not be made in Japan, but I don't think Honda have yet announced where it will be built.
Honda are a global company and have manufacturing plant all over the place.
My money is on Thailand.

Who told you that? My local dealer is advertising them here, http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/april ... 002012.htm and one here toogn2 wrote:Aprilia SR Max 300 not available in the UK.

No longer listed on Aprilia website.

I take that to mean it's no longer available...?
Probably due to woefully poor sales.
Up till Q2 of this year Aprilia had shifted eleven in total.

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
I have been told that Aprilia UK have never imported or advertised the SR Max 300 on their website. They are only importing the 125. However in the latest T&G it got a big write up and supplied by Windy Corner. I asked my local Aprilia dealer if they could get the 300 as they were only £2-300 more than the 125 and he called Aprilia UK and they said no. So you can only presume that these 300s advertised and supplied are mainland Europe models privately imported by the dealer?

Easy answer.
Find a low mileage Gilera Nexus 300 and stick Aprilia badges on it.
Sorted.

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
The majority of 'Japanese' scoots are actually made in Europe these days. Honda build most scoots and even some bikes in Italy, Yamaha build most smaller scoots in France, but the Tmax now comes from Spain, the smaller Suzukis (incl smaller Burgmans) were made (until recently) in Spain. Actuallly many of the 'Japanese' scoots are even designed in Europe - eg the Honda SH300 is (I believe) an entirely Italian project. Presumably increasingly they will source scoots from their Far Eastern factories instead in the future, in the way that smaller KTM bikes are now made by Hero in India.ridinhigh wrote:Will it not be made in Japan being has Honda is japanese?

My S-Wing is made in Italy, so it's a proper Italian scooter made in a factory that hopefully does not have August off.

Designed in Europe too, the S-wing. Don't think it was ever available in Japan.
I quite like the look of this new Forza.
I was disappointed that there wasn't a Honda maxi in this category when I was looking to buy one.
I would have considered it back then but now I've grown attached to my burger.

I'm betting both the plumbing and electrics on both are pretty good.richie the 1st wrote:So mine And my Fiat Panda is built in Poland.Dave Weller wrote:My S-Wing is made in Italy, so it's a proper Italian scooter made in a factory that hopefully does not have August off.![]()
