Not that bothered about practicality as I don't go on 200 mile bike rides anymore so aslong as a full face fits under the seat then that does me!

Really needs to be under four grand to stand any chance of competing with the Honda Forza.
And FFS give the UK models an MPH speedo!!!!

This is still bonkers - the Sym Graph says 45PS, whilst the Sym spec says 45KW!!!! It doesn't give you any faith in the importer if they can't tell the difference between bhp and KW!!!

So the 45bhp is yet another figure, though I'd guess it is the correct one - about the same as mk2-3-4 Tmaxs, less than Silverwing, Burger, BMWs, so will go OK, but the TMax will outdrag it due to lower weight.

The images are 'cut and paste' from a Taiwanese 'Powerpoint presentation'

We would base 'official' statistics on the Certificate of Conformity which has not been released as yet.

Until then rest assured, we do know the difference between PS, bhp, and kw.

Trust me coming from big bikes I wanted a scooter thst would not make me miss the bike too much. The Maxsym 400 is great, taller and thinner than a Burgman the handling is superb. It's even better since I fitter the Brisk sports plug. Has I have said more than pleased with it but that new 600 is very tempting. I had to go on a 74 mile trip to see mine and buy it but it was worth it

Any potential customer considering parting with 'Six Grand' really deserves a reasonable test ride. We cannot force dealers to take stock nor can we insist that they provide a demonstrator fleet, those that do are few and far between regardless of brand (unless you hold one of the big four franchises - and they are suffering the current economic climate!)

I would like the forum to consider the suggestion of a 'try before you buy' scheme where a nominal hire fee is paid to partially cover our costs of delivering a machine to local dealer for the potential buyer to test ride.

This nominal fee would be fully refundable upon purchase within say a three month period.

If we said the fee should be Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£100 - what does the forum members think of the suggestion?

I will say from personal experience as both my sons had sym scooters they were very well put together and ultra reliable .
