Well it's a big boy and still tight so let's give it a bit longer. Mid 50's will be fine by me

Re: Max joy from my Joymax!!
Is that from the on board display, I thought the new model had a claimed +15% better mpg?gn2 wrote:52mpg?spaceprobe wrote:Had mine out for a long run yesterday my mpg creeping up 52mpg now. Thanks Thanks for the heads up re the filling issues. Think I managed it OK yesterday bit slow but no mess.

My L1 model brim to brim gets 56 mpg average and the on board says 49! I'm assuming it must be the +10% speedo inaccuracy it has? So I just ignore what it reports and use maths and fuelly.

I am using an Android app on my phone that looks at running costs. Also i had been over filling but thanks to Mac I think I have mastered how to use the over fill valve. The big negative with the SYM is their terrible handbooks which don't have all the information that you would like.

Re: Max joy from my Joymax!!
When I got the 400 a guy on another site pointed out that SYM engines take much longer to loosen up than other brands. I would say from my experience with the 400 that is correct so I am expecting the same with the 600.

Ignore my post above about my B650, too early and not reading the thread right, I forgot spaceprobe now has the Maxsym 600i now, but may still be relevant for mpg comparison.bornagainbiker wrote:Is that from the on board display, I thought the new model had a claimed +15% better mpg?gn2 wrote:52mpg?spaceprobe wrote:Had mine out for a long run yesterday my mpg creeping up 52mpg now. Re: Max joy from my Joymax!!
Mac, sorry haven't really commented on your lovely Joymax. It's a peach by the look of it. So glad you love it. You are going to have some great rides on that. Keep us all posted as to how you are getting on with it. I love it's looks. The new Sym look for it's new models is superb.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

I agree that the Joymax 300i looks really good, spec is very high too now with idle stop and ABS.
When it comes time for a change the only thing which would prevent me from buying one is the kph biased speedo.
Looking forward to the Scottish leg of the Sym roadshow, I'll certainly be having a shot on one.
