my s-wing would sit at 60 happily and get up to an indicated just under 70, I use NGK iridium, doesnt make for more speed, but better starting and smoother tickover.

When I lived in London, its all that I needed, and you don't need any bigger.now I am out in sunny [wet] kent, still don't need any bigger. But allways look at bigger stuff.

If someone does 2up riding I can fully understand the need for a good big scooter, a Silverwing 600 is probably one of the best ones to get, they are very reliable, I only now ride on my own, and at a relaxed pace and could get bye with a good 125, I've got the Deauville for very long tours away.
The Silverwing 600 is still available until stocks run out, so I assume it's not manufactured any more.

Had a quick nosey at the Forza 125 in ye Honda Shoppe today, looks OK, but parked next to a PCX it simply didn't look like £1300 more scooter.

Thanks for heads up on the Forza 125 gn2.
I made a point to visit GT's of Plymouth this afternoon. They had the silver and the blue models in stock.
The scoot is physically much larger than the diminutive PCX 125 but I'm not sure there was any more leg room on the Forza 125 but I could be wrong with just a couple of 'sit-downs' on the scoots in the showroom.
I've been quietly keeping an eye on the Forza 125 and the PCX since news of the new scoot. I have to say that I like the looks, weather protection potential, storage, ABS and tech of the Forza 125. I'd pay the difference for my 'likes' above and if the performance was significantly improved. What do you or others think?
I don't understand the ESP of either engine on both the PCX or Forza 125s

Honda’s next generation eSP (enhanced Smart Power) single-cylinder, liquid-cooled four-stroke engine, designed for durability, fuel economy, power and torque, coupled with quiet operation. its just their concept in action as a ESP brand, The PCX125/150 is Honda’s benchmark for everything a small-capacity scooter should be: practical, fashionable and, above all, fun

Miachael, thanks.
I'm just checking your link out.
gn2 mentioned that he doesn't think the Forza 125 worth an extra £1300. Could the scoot's biger size and ESP engine justify the extra dosh?
I do like the PCX but the Forza 125 has made me think.

Pretty much all Honda scooters have stickers which say eSP on them these days.
IMO the physical size of the Forza 125 counts against it in congested city traffic and only being a 125 counts against it out of the city on the open road where (along with
all other 125s) its just too slow.
On the plus side the Forza has ABS, but so does the £3100 SH125i
Quick question, is a Forza 125 twice as good as a Daelim S1 125...?

Personally, I think not.

Comparing the two (source Honda UK)
PCX - 10.7hp, 12nm 130kgs £2699
Forza -14hp, 12nm 162kgs £3999
Power to weight comes out as 12.1 kgs/hp on the PCX versus 11.5 kg/hp on the Forza. Of course gearing will affect things a lot, but it looks as though while the Forza may eventually hit a higher top speed, the PCX will have nipped in front from the start. This could be important, even if you don't only use the acceleration to win TLGP.
Assuming the ABS is worth the normal £400 or £500 mark-up, then the Forza really looks overpriced unless the construction and fittings are markedly superior.
But ultimately, the PCX does not have ABS and the Forza does, so I would not even be looking at the PCX. But that's just me. I think it won't be long before the PCX gets ABS anyway, which will make the Forza look even worse (despite probably £400 rise on the PCX for the ABS)
I'd therefore look elsewhere. IF you want Honda, check out the SH125. Comes with ABS for £3099.....
