No...can't help thinking that that Chinese 250 scoot with the ostentatious radiator grill that was on here recently was generally better looking...

Youre just weird then

The dash on the X10 makes the new Tmax dash look like a Fisher Price one too.

Pretty much what I said about the XEvo when a lot of the Muppets were slagging its looks at its introduction.
A few years on and it is not only accepted but seen as a beautiful Italian design.
Watch this space....again!

Hmmm. Beautiful Italian design? Not in my eyes but I understand looks are very subjective. Now a Vespa GS150 is certainly a beautfully sculptured piece of Italian art. Plonk the Xevo, X8, X9 or even a Cosa or GTS and they'll all look pretty awkward and ugly to many....

OK the dash is quite nice. There again, I guess I ought to buy an X10 because if you are sitting on it, thats the one place you can't see how ugly the rest of it is!!!

Italian website Infomotori has just published a review:
Piaggio range X10
The new Piaggio X10 2012, equipped with wheels 15 "front and 13" rear, will be produced in two versions, Standard and Executeve (ABS-ASR) in three different engines: 125 ie, 350 s new and a 500 i.e. The youngest and the only B license holders can choose the version equipped with the 125 4 stroke single cylinder, 4 valves, liquid cooling and electronic injection. The most experienced and savvy scooter can instead opt for the new Piaggio 350 engine capable of 33.3 hp and maximum torque of 32.3 Nm
The new 350 retains the overall dimensions, weight and power consumption of a 300cc but with lower maintenance costs: the actions are in fact scheduled at intervals of 20,000 km, with the only change oil and filters at 10,000 km. At the top of the 500 performance. The Piaggio 493 cc engine is able to deliver a maximum power of 41 hp and maximum torque of 46 Nm, values that place it at the top of its class.
Impressions on the new Piaggio X10
Admiral of the Piaggio scooter does not go unnoticed: 2 meters long and 26 cm wide and 0.8 m has a generous wheelbase of 1.62 meters, which allows you to travel comfortably. The low center of gravity and a handle placed at right away do the rest: in town traffic, the Piaggio X10 has little to envy in smaller scooters for both handling and performance. And as for the brakes, the double central disc of 280 mm (240 at the rear) has appeared powerful and responsive. The version tested also had ABS and ASR, traction control, and on slippery funds is a real boon to avoid skidding. However, these two devices are paid in part by choosing the construction executive who has a price difference of about Euros 1,000 compared to the standard (5,890 euros for the 350). But we pass to the engine: the 350 cc delivers a torque of 32 Nm during acceleration and is very effective. The maximum speed is 140 km / h, the reported consumption of 1 liter per 30 kilometers. The shield is well protected, cared for the finish, the only flaw is a little space 'for small feet, as the central tunnel is quite cumbersome. In return, the load capacity of the tail section is immense: the house says 52 liters, equivalent to two jet helmets housed in peace, which makes it quite unnecessary installzione an additional trunk. (The 500 only manages 1 full helmet and 1 open face though)
Piaggio X10 road
Looking at it looks great, big and heavy. And, instead, the new Piaggio X10 driving with extreme ease. In cities such as in out of town. On a good weight balance, a driving position apt (seat height from ground is 76 cm) and a generous and lively engine. And 'the new 350 hp by 33.
The first test boat from 125 cc is fairly undersized compared to the size of the scooter and overall performance will suffer a lot. This does not mean that it is firm but slowly and surely an engine like that it is justified only with trade policies that are difficult to reconcile with the driving pleasure and the success of a project.
Step thus suffered the 350 cc version and my impressions have been confirmed, and this is the right engine for the Piaggio GT. Powerful, agile, full right now, economically and with a relatively small cylinder volumes.
The handiness is the highest level and the presence of electronics makes sure the guidance during the test that was held on a wet from the rain. Excellent braking, aerodynamic apron worthy of note. In short, the road test is passed with flying colors
