mine say 42 psi on the front and back, i have always inflated to this!!!!!
both the workshop manual and owners manual states

Tyre pressure (cold) front 2.1 bar
Tyre pressure (cold) rear 2.3 bar (2.5 bar with passenger)

which is 30 psi front and i am 2 up for 50% of time so i go with the later for rear which is 36 psi COLD Tyres

bridgestone and other tyre manufacturers have there own thoughts and are usually 2 psi higher.. yet the owners manual is specific to the model, weight of machine etc..

if you are doing 42 psi when cold tyres they will rise by another 4 psi when running through friction,
you will have a bumpy ride :) and loss of stability at high speed as with friction with road, and you will wear your tyres out faster over
their centres, not advised and also loss of forward traction :) :) :)
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I've got the bridgestones I run 32psi front & 30psi rear. Steve if you run your tyres that high they will go bald quicker not to mention that the ride will be so stiff you'll go through headstock bearing quicker, also if you ever get a puncture on the move it will make rather a nasty mess. I suggest reading what it says on the tyre again as that sounds to me like that's maximum inflation rating not what you should be running them at.

Are you sure you're not reading the "max psi" label on the sidewall?

well did a job today been putting off for the better weather, i have always wanted to do, set the tappets i asked the piaggio dealer they wanted £200 to do it as takes 2 hrs!!! well it took me 5 hrs of stripping the scoot as i did not want to drop the engine, finally got there in the end.. Valve clearance: intake: 0.15 mm (when cold) Valve clearance: exhaust 0.15 mm (when cold) the 2 inlet valves were open too much as were the exhaust valve clearance, i dont think they were, or have ever been done as its not seen a dealer in 25,000 miles so was prob too young in miles to be checked for its first 16,000 miles
the scoot was not noticeably tappet loud when you listen, just a job thats been on my mind as a to do... so done it now and its very quiet at the front , all i can hear is the tranny up close Ha Ha just done 10 miles and feels about the same really, but was two up and took it steady, will have a good run monday :) :) :)
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
