Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Got it back on the road after an unscheduled meeting with the tarmac! Looking a little worse for wear now.
Wasn't going to be too fussy about the colour matching for the new plastic bits but managed to find a scraped but complete front fairing for £20 and although it's not the same silver it looks OK.
Cheap from China 11 LED stick on front indicators and a pair of pattern non evo mirrors all from ebay. A top box from a forum member. Plus a fair few cable ties and she's as good as new
Last week did a work trip to Nottingham and back about 350 miles in all and bike felt good but looked sh1t
Really happy to be back on it again at a minimal cost. About £100 in all
Good bit is that after 350 motorway miles at a steady 80mph and 6500 RPM it hasn't used any oil, so the engine must be pretty OK. Suppose the only real downside is that it's re-sale value had plummeted to an all time low so I'll just have to keep it and behave myself! Normally I'm easily tempted by a p/ex if I like the new machine that's all shiny sitting there in the shop window

Looks a little tatty now but still goes and steers well

Good job fella. I'd be tempted to change the indicators for SL ones in the original position. Glad you're ok after your off.

Fitted new belt and rollers to the Liberty today. Rollers were within spec measurement wise but had a bad flat spot. Belt was well on its way out. Belt also has a strange rubbing mark on the outside of it? Sadly the oil filter didnt arrive in time but I'll changethe oil and filter in the week now. Then its been fully serviced and ready for Spain.

Yet another set of front brake pads... third set since I bought her in April last year. Cleaned the calipers with Muc Off brake cleaner. We'll see how long these ones last.

Put the footboard, bellypan & panels back on the scoot after wizz-tooling the rust from the bottom end of the frame and putting five coats of paint on, even took the petrol tank out to get right into the corroded areas...& of course blowing myself up
