What have you done to your Scooter today?

Used my new brake bleeding kit to clean out the front master cylinder and refresh the fluid.

Now easy to do, but not without that little issue that always happens just when I think it's all going so well.

Not sure it's made any difference, but I know and feel better for it!

yep a lot easier with the kit... just got to watch out for the squirt from the master cylinder when you initially pull the lever

Would appreciate any advice where I can get (cheaply) two new reservoir screws as one in particular is chewing up very nicely.

Pretty sure they're, by and large, universal with some pretty weird exceptions checking Google. Struggling to find anyone listing just the two stubby countersunk screws.

The screws used to hold the top on the master cylinder are made of silver coloured chocolate. I have a similar problem at the moment on my Bandit. It's so bad I've had to fit another master cylinder.

Buy yourself some stainless Allen bolts. They look nice and last.

Failed to change the headlight bulb. I have loads of different type of bulbs, H4s, H7s, some odd ones from Jap import cars etc but the Liberty has a bulb I've never seen before, although it looks like they are quite common on Scoots. Tis a BA20D H1. Every days a school day...

fitted new sliders, the last ones lasted 9 months,,, two out of the 3 were cracked.. must be the extra force of the 24gm dr pulleys and now got her to rev to 7000 without loss of traction, although i usually only swing between the 3 to 6 mark, funny enough i get 50 mpg with this set up as the engine is free flowing ... if i use 26gms or 27.3 gms i have to use more throttle to get more from scoot and then only achieve 48 mpg.. much more fun on the a to b roads with 24gm dr pulleys with the polini contra spring, it works perfectly, no vibes.. just power on tap with little throttle

changed the oil and filter + new rear disk and locking bolts for disk with new ebc organic kevlar mix pads + changed the gearbox oil + added 100ml to new oil on ZX1 been cleaning out the inlet valves and manifold for last two months with a petrol additive Helps prevent blocking deposits with each treatment. Unleaded fuel has a mixture of wax, lacquer and varnish called olefins incorporated to help replace the lead and to coat and protect your engine. While the engine benefits, the injectors suffer. With only 1 micron tolerance any coating will eventually effect the fine spray needed to maintain maximum fuel economy, power and emission efficiency. Regular use of Silverhook Petrol Teatment will help maintain your engine and fuel system performance and prevent the harmful build-up of deposits to injectors, carburettors and valves. so when i come back off holiday gonna treat the fuel system to ZX1, could not see the point in doing it while the parts were coated in the fuel crap, so will do soon, the scoot is achieving 52mpg at the moment a to b which is quite good for the old girl

I have been using that zx-1 and am very impressed with the results . I have also used some of there other products which also work superbly .

over the last two days i have absolutly ridden the wheels off it

did ten miles on twisty roads (i was late home) without hardly dropping from the limit

wierdly it has me hankering after a bike again though

New front pads, cleaned out the disc holes and topped up the oil on the SH125.

Also modified my rather tired OEM Honda air filter using remaining piece of RamAir foam I had left over from doing the same in the Winter to the X9 250 Evo.

Perhaps the more technically knowledgable can explain to me why increasing the airflow improves mpg, guessing the Fuel/Air mix was rich and now the extra air helps efficiency, but I've done this on several bikes and I always see better mpg, so do all bikes naturally run rich or is it something else at work??

Replace my rollers with Dr. Pulley sliders +1gr saw improved mpg!!
Replace oil+filter,air filter, transmission oil, spark plug.
Working on my Scooter is so easy.

Used it to stack crap on. Its not getting used much, hardly in the country at the mo.

Have just fitted Acerbis Dual Road hand guards to my scoot hoping that together with hotgrips and some decent gloves my hands will keep warmer this winter. The guards look good imo but I have yet to road test as it is presently tipping it down, the Sym has some fairly hefty bar ends fitted so here's hoping I don't get any vibration problems.
