Ordered a rear tire for my Burger. I've put over 5,000 miles on my Bridgestone and it was on my used scoot when I bought it. So I'm not complaining, even though I've let it square off more than I should have. I'm going to try a Michelin City Grip. Just under 40GBP delivered, about half that to have it mounted.

Spent all week on the Burg400. Removed front wheel and prepared for respray, removed calipers and stripped down ready for refurb when parts arrive. Resprayed front forks. New discs, pads, caliper seals and wheel bearings should be here tomorrow so i can put it all back together this weekend. Next week, remove back wheel to repaint, check bearings and pads, overhaul caliper, check drive belt, rollers and clutch. I'll replace them if needed. Not made my mind up what I'm doing the week after but must get a move on cause summer is nearly here.
It rained so much in the night an area where a large puddle normally forms in heavy rain on the left side had covered the entire road on both sides. The section of road is in a slight dip and on a slight left hand bend, the left side has a T junction beside it. Had I have gone the right side of the island I would have had to go through deep water so felt it was safer with no oncoming traffic to go the other side of the island. Two vehicles behind me did the same. A car that came into view in front was smoking heavily and struggling to pull in to a layby, I can only guess he foolishly went straight into it and got water in his exhaust. I'd say the water on the left side would have been about 2 foot deep where I would normally position myself and maybe as much as 3 foot by the kerb. Council should really do something about that section of road.

Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.
If you ride/drive through water, the important point is to know where does the air pick up into the air filter, if the engine sucks in water it will total it. An example is a Ford Escort Diesel van, my old firm suffered many engine failures until the air input was moved higher up and engineers stopped bow waving them.
