I had a ride to Clay Cross Kawasaki the other day and surprisingly they had one in!

I like it! And I like the green best of all
The underseat storage was a bit shallow though and my shoei wouldn't fit.
The sales chap I spoke to, seemed scooter friendly, which made a change. He'd had loan of a tmax for a week or so and had seen the benefits of scooters.
But he didn't think the Kawasaki would sell that many in the UK, due to the usual biker prejudice. :|

But hopefully things are changing.

did he want to sell you a real bike?

I disagree with him, I reckon the J300 is going to do pretty well as it is a well-known brand and it's a decent scooter at a competitive price.

Buy the J300SE and negotiate a deal on a new helmet. Sorted!

Well I think dealers are having to change with the times. 10 years ago, the showroom would be full of sportsbikes, with the odd tourer at the back, and they'd treat you as joke if you wanted a scooter. These days, the front of the showroom is full of 50/125 bikes & scoots, with mid range commuters, nakeds and trail bikes just behind and sportsbikes are relegated to the shed out the back!

Tell me if I'm wrong but did the MCN reviewer in DougL's link say that this was Kawasaki's most important model for 2014 then go on to test ride it in the rain and like it??
A bit of a turnaround from the dickhead from MCN who last year claimed at the end of a Forza video review that a scooter was no use for rainy Britain.

And Visordown's review concluded with:

".. people should want this scooter, including motorcyclists. It’s made the whole proposition of scooter ownership suddenly much more persuasive."

No, he was ok really. And I'm not buying one , I just go in bike shops to make a point of walking past and ignoring the latest sportsbike and make a beeline for any scooter nearby. :D

I also called at CMC which is just across the road from the Kawasaki place. I walked in dripping all over their floor. Inside there were about a 20 people looking at bikes or sitting in the cafe but only one bike parked outside.
So motorbikes are no use for rainy Britain either

 Anything useful about the scooter itself only starts at around the 12minute point. Until then we hear mostly about the weather and seeing her shut the bedroom door on the cameraman.

Barely worth watching - especially when you've got to listen to Martin Lambert struggle on about his constant launch battles - just how many new motorcycles have Kawasaki launched in the last five years again?

By turning the sound off you can get a better impression of the machine rather than the whiney bint riding it. Overly tall, doesn't look to have a planted front end, curious riding position, inefficient front mudguard throws spray on the riders legs and feet, no hand protection with the standard screen, limited storage space . Could go on, but the absence of feet forward riding position rules this out of my consideration.

And it's green. Only mould, snot and bile is green...
No door is closed to an open mind.
Except a closed door, which a mind can't open, but even a stupid hand can.

And sprouts, I would class them alongside mould, snot and bile.
